About My Site
Last time I returned from a trip, I was discouraged by all the memorabilia
that I'd collected, including stories, video clips and photos, knowing
that it would be difficult to share the entire experience with other
people. "So that's it," I thought as I disappeared my collections
into a fading binder. Instead of allowing the experiences to slip
away, though, I decided to create this Web site where I could share
my love of travel, writing and photography -- and, of course, the
Web -- with fellow Internet friends.
Recently, I have been focusing on the natural beauty and unique people
who live in the Bay Area, and have just finished a film about Ray
Bandar, a skull collector who has been volunteering for the California
Academy of Science for more than 50 years. This movie, "Ray Bandar:
A Life with Skulls," focuses on his life and what he's gone through
to gather and process his collection of more than 7000 skulls. The
movie is now playing around the Bay Area and will be showing at the
EarthDance Environment Film Festival at the Oakland Museum in April.
Check their web
site for the exact date and time.
Drop me a note
if you have any comments about my site or places I've been.
Happy Trails,
Beth
