An integral part of Living On The Dime is to identify locations in which to establish Inland Community Development Centers. These centers would be designed as land reuse/redevelopment projects to
be constructed primarily with volunteer labor and donated materials
on vacant properties along I-10.

A possible technological component will be to develop a design plan to
create non-profit data centers for each site. This will provide in-kind or at-cost web hosting/Internet service for local grassroots organizations and train students and community members in basic web design and site administration.

The ICDC would initiate projects and offer support to grassroots and
non-profit endeavors related to community heritage, sustainable and
low impact development, and local cultural activities. The centers will
also provide repositories for historic and cultural information gathered during the research phase of the project and to house materials collected in the future.
