  Final Project: A DVD Postcard

  1. You will create a working DVD project with several menus that link to different parts of your movie.

  2. Your project will consist of

    • A flowchart of your final project.

    • A 3-10 minute movie constructed in Final Cut Pro or Premiere. I'm leaving a broad definition of what type of project you can create, but it can be anything from a music video of your band, to your backyard garden, a political event, a portrait of a person or place. This could also be a portfolio of your movies or a selection of many short movies. The range is wide here. This movie will be encoded and imported into DVD Studio Pro.

    • I will provide you with footage if you don't have a camera, which you can edit into a movie. If you have any footage, including old VHS, Hi-8 or DV footage, we can capture it onto the Macs.

    • At least four menus built with layered Photoshop documents. One must be a scenes menu that navigates different parts of your movie.

    • At least four buttons linked with rollovers or highlights in DVD Studio Pro on each menu that create interactivity.

    • A final built-and-burned DVD, which you hand into me.

  3. You will give a 10-minute presentation of your project during the last class.

  4. The presentation will happen during the last class: May 15. Please provide me a copy of your final project on DVD along with a cover sheet with a summary of your project.
