Assignment #7

ASSIGNMENT A: The goal is to create a motion menu in Final Cut Pro using provided assets.

1. Copy assets from the server from the 007_ASSIGN7 folder to users>m133 to the local drive.

2. Create a new sequence in Final Cut Pro, importing montanamenu.psd, bear3.mov, clouds.mov, mountain.mov and Track02.aiff.

3. Composite your motion menu, layering your assets appropriately.

4. Resize the movies, positioning them in the correct spot.

5. Add audio and make sure all the assets are the same length.

6. Render the movie to see how it looks.

7. Save this FCP project back to the server into your folder, clearly labeling it as assignment #7.


ASSIGNMENT B: The goal is to create a motion menu in Final Cut Pro by first creating a PSD menu and integrating it with some motion in Final Cut . You can use provided assets or, better yet, your own work.

1. Copy assets from the server from the 007_ASSIGN7B folder to users>m133 to the local drive.

2. Create a new menu in Final Cut Pro, using a frame from one of the movies. Make a mask and put some text on the menu. You can use the text file in the folder for your text.

3. Bring your Photoshop document into Final Cut Pro and add some motion, layering your assets appropriately. You can import the provided assets and pull clips from them.

4. Save this FCP project back to the server into your folder, clearly labeling it as assignment #7B.
