The goal is to create a new menu for a DVDSP project.

1. Copy the folder 004 DVD Menu Assets from Scarlett to your hard drive. This folder has three .mov files in it and a MS Word document.

2. Find a frame in one of the movies that would make a good still menu. Look at the composition of the frame and the quality of the image.

3. Export this interesting frame from the movie file.

4. Create a New Photoshop document, choosing the correct setup (NEW>(PRESET)DV NTSC 720X480 With guides).

5. Bring in the still that you exported.

6. Open the MS Word doc file Bandar.doc and copy and paste the text into the Photoshop document.

7. Design a still menu, using the toolbox to play around with type and other elements.

8. Add some layer styles to the type and design a menu.

9. Create an overlay design for your buttons. Don't forget that all buttons have to be flattened down to one layer (they must be black to work properly).

10. Bring the files into DVDSP if you have time and set the background and overlay files. Set the color on the buttons.

11. Save both documents on the server (Scarlett) when you are done with them.
